On March 10, 2024 the Mansfield Horned Frogs 8u team went to Little Rock Arkansas to compete in the 2D Sports "Battle in Dogtown" tournament. Due to weather the week before and late Friday night, the tournament was converted to a one-day 2GG on Sunday. The Frogs 8u was selected to be the ghost team playing two pool games. After these two pool games, it went into a single elimination bracket. The Frogs 8u team went 2-0 in pool play but seeded 2nd due to allowing 7 runs in two games.
After handling the Dive Bomber Bears 11-0, an incredibly difficult game was played against our very own 7u team that was playing up to 8u for this tournament. This was the toughest team faced all weekend. A melancholy win against 7u paved the road to the championship game. After 4 games, and 12-hours at the field, there just wasn't enough gas in the tank to handle the AR Beastmode team, losing 6-11.
